DIVORCE
Most adults marry at least once during their lives. Although most married couples have the best of intentions, the statistics show that divorce is a real possibility for many of them. With divorce, the issues that may arise include, but are not limited to: property division; allocation of assets and debts like the splitting of personal property and intangible assets; making determinations concerning child custody, visitation, child support, provision of health and life insurance; alimony; and attorney's fees.
Other issues may come up in divorce cases, such as: dependency court involvement when the Dept. of Children and Families is involved; domestic violence injunction hearings; immigration issues and out-of-state and/or international issues when one party either leaves the jurisdiction or is a foreign national.
